Debate finds in favour of board gender quotas

At Diversity Council Australia’s Annual Diversity Debate, sponsored by Ernst & Young and held in Sydney on Thursday, the capacity crowd heard lively discussion on the topic of whether quotas for women on boards are necessary.
A final vote of the audience of business and HR executives came out in support of quotas, with MC Tony Jones awarding the debate to the affirmative by 61% to 39%.
