Cultural intelligence at work
How does the concept of Cultural Intelligence apply to your workplace? The cultural diversity that exists in our workplaces represents tremendous opportunities for Australian businesses and employers. DCA is again inviting HR and diversity practitioners to join a groundbreaking seminar, this time in Sydney hosted by AMP, to explore how we can ensure that our organisations are culturally intelligent and are vibrant communities that best reflect our potential employee pool and market sectors.
Organisations that develop a strong understanding of their own Cultural Intelligence will avoid racial ‘colour blindness’ - whereby cultural diversity isn’t leveraged for business benefit.
Some of the themes addressed in the Cultural Intelligence Seminar include:
- What should cultural diversity mean in Australia in 2009?
- The crucial role of ‘Blokes Like Me’ in harnessing our Australian cultural diversity and developing definitions of ‘Cultural Intelligence’.
- How do we rank the CI (Cultural Intelligence) of our organisations, our leaders and indeed ourselves?
- How can we respond to cultural diversity in ways that generate creativity and innovation, as well as critical business resources in a knowledge economy?
- How can we harness the enormous diversity of ideas and insights that exist in our organisations?
- What can individuals, organisations and communities do to better understand and harness Australia’s cultural diversity?
- How can we generate meaningful conversations and actions around cultural diversity that are inclusive and engaging, and acknowledge both the present and future?
When: Sydney, 23 March 2009, 8.30am for 9.00am to 12.00pm
