2005 Awards
The winners of the 2005 ACCI/BCA National Work & Family Awards were announced by the Hon. Kevin Andrews MP, federal Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations at a presentation event in Sydney on 24 November 2005.
SC Johnson won the Gold Award - Private Sector for overall outstanding achievement in the provision of work-life initiatives, practices and policies in a private sector organisation. The University of South Australia won the inaugural Gold Award - Public Sector.
"These Awards reinforce the benefits of focussing on work and family flexibilities and employee and employer collaboration - away from imposing prescriptive processes, and towards enabling those in the workplace to work together an make informed decisions about how best to accommodate work and family." Minister Andrews said.
The winners of the 2005 ACCI/BCA National Work & Family Awards are:
- Gold Award - Private Sector SC Johnson
- Gold Award - Public Sector University of South Australia
- Large Business Award Greenslopes Private Hospital
- Medium Business Award SC Johnson
- Small Business Award Austral Tree & Stump Services Pty Ltd
- Regional and Rural Award Grampians Community Health Centre Inc
- Rising Star Award Acclaim Apprentices and Trainees Ltd
In addition to awarding winners, high commendations were also awarded in some categories. The following organisations received high commendations:
- Gold Award - Public Sector Hydro Tasmania
- Large Business Award ANZ Banking Group Limited
- Medium Business Award Pfizer (Perth) Pty Limited
- Small Business Award HCM Global
- Rising Star Award Shell Companies in Australia
