Gender - Benchmarks

Benchmarks on the various aspects of gender diversity have been developed from DCA's experience:

Women in management

Organisations that are serious about improving the number of women represented in leadership positions will create benchmarks that are meaningful in their organisation and within their market context. 

Women in non-traditional roles

Organisations who want to increase the representation of women in either non-traditional roles within their organisation or more broadly because their organisation is in a non-traditional environment for women will adopt specific benchmarks in this area.

Pay equity

Organisations will know they have achieved pay equity when they have undertaken a pay equity audit and can find no gap between the average earnings of men and women for work of equal value.

Work-life flexibility

An organisation will have achieved excellence in its capacity to assist employees balance their work and life commitments by meeting certain work-life benchmarks.

Pregnancy and parental leave

Benchmarks in the area of pregnancy and parental leave can be easily set and measured by using various indicators.
