Gender - How DCA can assist
DCA seeks to assist organisations to identify key barriers to change so that organisations may reflect contemporary expectations about employment participation. This includes:
- Advice and events on cutting edge business diversity issues such as: mentoring diverse women, ASX reporting requirements, pay equity, unconscious bias in the Australian context; engaging men; and returning to ‘first diversity principles’ for gender. Visit http://dca.org.au/EventsCat/Upcoming-DCA-events to see the latest events.
- Networks exclusive to DCA members including DCA's ASX Diversity Governance Network (to help employers with the new ASX reporting guidelines on gender diversity) and the Workplace Gender Equality Network (to assist organisations in preparing for the proposed amendments to Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act).
- DCA's Corporate Women's network, to provide an opportunity for all women to develop an external network of like-minded people and to work together to support each other.
- Diversity awareness training for managers and employees at DCA member organisations.
- A program called Flexibility First (see the Work-life/flexibility section of the web site) for detailed and practical information on the opportunities that flexible workplaces provide and how you can really make it work.
- Diversity audits to measure workplace culture and identify areas for improvement.
- One-on-one coaching to encourage managers and employees to stamp out inappropriate behaviour and encourage respect in the workplace.
