Flexibility First: a practical guide to flexible working in today’s workplace
The Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards mean that all Australian employers are obliged to seriously consider requests for flexible working from their employees. This represents a fundamental shift in the onus of responsibility for managing flexibility to the employer. While flexibility sounds like an easy concept in theory, in practice it requires a degree of management skill and competence.
DCA has developed a new program called Flexibility First to help employers prepare for these new challenges and reap the business benefits of flexibility. Developed from years of experience in working with business, this intensive course especially designed for managers will help improve skills to ensure your organisation is fully prepared to take advantage of the new industrial landscape.
Our experienced consultants will provide practical, take-away guidelines and tools to enable you to meet your obligations under the Fair Work Act and successfully implement flexible working arrangements such as part-time hours, flexible start/finish times, compressed working weeks, job-sharing and telecommuting.
Who should attend:
- Supervisors and managers (at any level)
- Staff who manage diversity issues
- HR managers or practitioners
- Anyone who manages anyone else – whether that is one person or 50!
