Wear it Purple Day: One executive shares their experience of transitioning at work

Topics LGBTIQ+

Wear it Purple day, which falls on 30 August, exists to create supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for young members of the LGBTIQ+ community.

To mark the day, we revisit one of our key podcast episodes from season 1 of The Art of Inclusion called, Out in the open: a transgender executive on the business of transitioning.

In it, executive Aram Hosie, who identifies as a binary-presenting trans person, shares how he has navigated life – and the workplace – as both a man and a woman.

Aram, alongside Mark Latchford from Pride in Diversity, busts a few myths while sharing his incredible story.

It's an important listen because, while acceptance of the LGBTIQ+ community has come a long way in the last 30 years, there’s still lots to do to support its trans and gender diverse members. That's true on Wear it Purpe day - and beyond.

Hello, just wondering if there might be a transcript of the podcast at all? I find reading much better than listening :)
