Gender Reporting Network

29 Sep 2014

DCA’s Gender Reporting Network, proudly sponsored by Clayton Utz, is open exclusively to DCA members and is designed to assist them in their preparations to meet reporting requirements on gender and to explore leading practice on gender diversity. The next meeting will discuss pay equity and strategies to eliminate the gender pay gap.

The recent announcement by the Australian Bureau of Statistics that the national gender pay gap has actually increased to 18.2% is a worrying trend.

At the next meeting of DCA’s Gender Reporting Network, we will discuss pay equity and what needs to be done to address the problem.

Our speakers will include:

  • Dr Heidi Sundin, Education and Innovation Executive Manager, from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency who will outline its new campaign to tackle equal pay;
  • DCA's Policy & Research Manager, Jo Tilly who will explore the role of the 'motherhood penalty' in the gender pay gap; and
  • Lynne Beaumont, HR Policy & Services Manager Australia & NZ, Shell Development (Australia) who will talk about her organisation's work to reduce the gender pay gap.

This teleconference is hosted by Message Stick, sponsored by Leighton Holdings.

The rest of this content is restricted to DCA members.
