Gender Reporting Network

26 Jun 2014

DCA’s Gender Reporting Network is open exclusively to DCA members and is designed to assist organisations in their preparations to meet new reporting requirements on gender diversity and associated gender equity programs. At this Gender Reporting Network, we will take a close look at reporting under the Workplace Gender Equality (WGE) Act 2012.

The Australian Government recently announced the commencement of consultation on workplace gender equality reporting requirements with the aim of identifying opportunities to streamline reporting requirements under the WGE Act. As a consequence, DCA is again canvassing the opinions of our members to ensure our submission reflects your concerns and issues with the reporting requirements of the legislation. As outlined in the attached document, we are keen to hear your views about reporting at the network, as well as via a short survey for DCA members located at: https://www.research.net/s/DCA-GenderReporting.

At the network, we will also learn about Korn Ferry's new report, Beyond ‘if not, why not’: the pathway to directorships for women in leadership, which provides valuable advice for executives who hope to have a board career, as well as insights for boards that wish not only to recruit female directors, but to foster an environment that attracts women to board service.

Our speakers will include:

  • Vanessa Paterson, Advice and Reporting Executive Manager, WGE Agency who will outline the Government's consultation process for reporting
  • Jacqueline Gillespie, Senior Partner, Korn Ferry who will profile the new report, Beyond ‘if not, why not’
  • Giri Tenneti, Manager Education and Research Program, ASX Limited who will provide an overview on the latest news on ASX reporting on diversity.

This teleconference is hosted by Message Stick, sponsored by Leighton Holdings.

The rest of this content is restricted to DCA members.
