Gender Reporting Network

19 Feb 2015

DCA’s Gender Reporting Network, proudly sponsored by Clayton Utz, is open exclusively to DCA members and is designed to assist them in their preparations to meet reporting requirements on gender and to explore leading practice on gender diversity programs. At the next meeting, we will look at Australia's first gender equality scorecard, preliminary findings from the government's recent consultation on gender reporting as well as profiling of leading practice on gender diversity.

At DCA’s first Gender Reporting Network for 2015, we will take a close look at the Workplace Gender Equality (WGE) Agency's first ever gender equality scorecard. This world-leading dataset has helped to provide a comprehensive picture of gender equality in Australian workplaces. Unfortunately, the 2013-14 reporting data provides clear evidence that women continue to be under-represented at many levels.

We will hear about the outcomes of the government's recent consultations on gender equality reporting as released by the federal Department of Employment earlier this month. The consultation report provides a summary of the submissions made in response to the Australian Government's annoucement in 2014 to consult on workplace gender equality reporting requirements.

This meeting will also provide an opportunity to hear from Monsanto about their gender diversity intiatives.

Our speakers will include:

  • Helen Innes, Branch Manager, Social Policy Branch - Australian Government Department of Employment
  • Vanessa Paterson, Advice and Reporting Executive Manager - Workplace Gender Equality Agency
  • Julia Bailey, HR Lead - Monsanto Australia
  • Giri Tenneti, Manager Education and Research Program - ASX Limited, who will provide an overview on the latest news on ASZ reporting on diversity

This teleconference is hosted by Message Stick, sponsored by Leighton Holdings.
