Gender Reporting Network: new Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins
DCA’s Gender Reporting Network, proudly sponsored by Clayton Utz, is open exclusively to DCA members and is designed to assist them in their preparations to meet reporting requirements on gender and to explore leading practice on gender diversity programs.
DCA is delighted to have Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins join the next meeting of the Gender Reporting Network.
Kate commenced her term as Australia’s Sex Discrimination Commissioner in April this year, bringing a wealth of human rights and legal experience to the position.
Kate recognises the immediate priorities of preventing violence against women and their children; securing women’s economic security; and advocating for greater diversity in decision making roles across our community.
She is leading a number of projects at the Australian Human Rights Commission including conducting a national survey on sexual harassment and sexual assault in university settings and continues the collaboration on cultural reform with the Australian Defence Force.
Come and see Kate Jenkins in conversation with DCA CEO Lisa Annese and ask your questions about the issues she will be prioritising.
