At DCA's next Gender Equality Network sponsored by KPMG we will explore gender equality from both a local and global perspective.

In this special double bill Gender Equality Network, we are excited to hear from two amazing speakers who will provide new insights into ways to harness the power of gender equality, both from an Australian and global perspective:

  • Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins will outline her key priorities, including the prevention of violence against women and girls, enhancing women’s economic security and empowerment as well as guiding diversity in leadership across Australian workplaces, education and sporting institutions.
  • Professor Emerita Linda Haas from the Indiana University in the United States is an expert on gender, family policy, families and work in post-industrialised societies. She will explore the (leading practice) Swedish experience of promoting and enabling shared care and gender equality, as well as lessons for Australia in terms of possible changes to government and corporate/organisational policy and practice.

This network, free and exclusively to DCA members, is a quarterly event series designed to explore leading practice on gender diversity programs and to assist members in their preparations to meet reporting requirements on gender.

Who should attend:
DCA encourages attendance by all member organisations, their staff and senior management.  DCA’s charter is to enhance your organisations' diversity capability and external profiles.  We do this by providing members with a range of free events featuring expert thought leaders in the field of D&I.  We encourage senior management and line managers to participate in this free DCA events to further support the work diversity and HR practitioners are doing at the coal face. As a part of our commitment to gender balance, we also encourage male representatives from our member organisations to participate in this event alongside their female and gender diverse colleagues.
