Supporting From the Heart campaign for the First Nations Voice to Parliament to be enshrined in the constitution
A Voice to Parliament is a fair and practical way to deliver meaningful constitutional recognition and reform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
DCA invites you to a special DCA member-only briefing with Dean Parkin, Director of From the Heart campaign, about the latest developments and next steps in the campaign - From the Heart.
From the Heart is a campaign, working to educate Australians about the Indigenous Voice to Parliament, and why enshrining the Voice in the constitution is fair and practical, and how it will unify our nation.
As you may be aware, the Voice co-design committee recently released its interim report, commencing a public consultation period lasting until the end of March.
From the Heart wants to encourage submissions from members of the public and corporate stakeholders and have organised this special briefing for DCA members about what the interim report means for the campaign, why enshrining the Voice in the constitution is so important, and how DCA members can help.
Who should attend: This could be yourself, someone from your RAP working group or an employee who is passionate about seeing this change made.
"It was very informative. Dean was very clear about the campaign. He was thoughtful and diplomatic. there is so much that needs change but he is laser focused on achieving a constitutionally enshrined Voice. They have a good strategy. It was also great that DCA were clear about their support and how you go about that in an empowering way. I was very please that you ran this session. I will be sending in a submission.' - Anon, event participant
