Inclusion at Work Week (IAWW) is back! From 17th – 21st November 2025, workplaces across Australia will come together to celebrate diversity and inclusion (D&I), reflect on progress, and share hopes for the future.
This year is an important milestone as Diversity Council Australia (DCA) celebrates its 40th anniversary. It’s an opportunity to look back on how far we’ve come and to look ahead at the work still to be done in building diverse and inclusive workplaces.
Every organisation in Australia can take part – whether you’re a DCA member or not. Last year, nearly three times as many non-member organisations joined IAWW compared to the year before. We’re inviting all workplaces to get involved.
How can your workplace or team contribute?
DCA’s social media campaign
One of the simplest ways to get involved in IAWW is through our national social media campaign. By joining the online conversation, you’ll not only showcase your organisation’s commitment to inclusion, but also amplify the importance of D&I across Australia.
This year’s campaign is centred on two key reflection questions:
- From where you started, what progress has your organisation made towards inclusion?
- Looking forward, what will it take to build truly inclusive workplaces over the years to come?
By answering these questions and using the official hashtag #InclusionAtWorkWeek, your organisation can share both its achievements and its aspirations.
Individuals are also encouraged to take part — you might like to share your own reflections or simply what inclusion means to you.
And don’t forget to tag DCA to be part of the wider campaign:

Content ideas for your IAWW post
1. Share your story
Tell the story of your organisation’s D&I journey so far. This could be about a new policy, a successful initiative, or any meaningful steps that have made a difference to employees.
2. Look to the future
Share your goals for the coming months and years, whether that’s strengthening inclusive policies, or launching new initiatives, this shows commitment to creating safe spaces for everyone.
3. Spotlight your employees
Centre the voices of your employees. Ask staff to respond to the theme questions and share their reflections in short video clips or quotes. Authentic stories from people across all levels of the organisation create a powerful impact.
4. Use video and photos
Visual content is the best way to capture attention online. Share photos of your team celebrating IAWW or short video messages of staff answering the reflection prompts.
5. Get creative
Organisations can also use IAWW to run internal challenges, host Q&A sessions with leaders, or share employee-led reflections. Think about what feels authentic to your organisation and teams.

Other ways to get involved
There are many opportunities for every organisation to participate in IAWW:
Engage your team internally – share with employees why inclusion matters to your organisation, reflect on progress, and use IAWW to start meaningful conversations.
Highlight “inclusive champions” in the organisation – people who have done things to make others feel more included.
Run learning modules, lunch and learns or quizzes during the week to improve internal knowledge, or simply to connect. We encourage you to leverage our library of resources.
For this week only, individuals can sign up for our Open Knowledge Programs (normally only open to group bookings) as part of the IAWW education series. Explore D&I Fundamentals, Preventing Gendered Violence at Work in partnership with Our Watch, and Inclusive Leadership.
Commit to reviewing policies and guidelines to see where inclusion could be improved (e.g. flexible work, accommodating diversity needs, recruitment/hiring practices, accessibility).
Book a DCA speaking engagement or a Knowledge Program for your team.
Encourage employee resource groups (ERGs) to lead an event or initiative.
Hold a reflection meeting to plan what actions will be taken on ideas surfaced during the week.
