Accessibility statement

DCA is committed to improving the accessibility of our digital network.

The current international standard for web accessibility is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). In 2023, the Centre of Inclusive Design conducted an audit of our website, and it received an Accessibility Compliance score of 80% against the WCAG accessibility standards up to and including the 2.1 Level AA success criteria.

When applying the new DCA brand to the site in 2025, accessibility was a top priority. Additional accessibility checks were run against the current release for the WCAG version 2.2 to make sure the site continues to work well for all our users.

The UserWay Accessibly Widget is available across our website. This Accessibility Widget supports WCAG 2.1 & 2.2 compliance and helps boost performance and allows website visitors to adjust the design and UI of the website to meet specific accessibility needs. Users can access the widget by clicking the accessibility icon (an orange circle with a navy-blue person icon in the centre) found at the bottom left of the screen.

Accessible file formats

Some of our publications can be very large and are therefore provided as accessible PDF (Portable Document Format) files. We invite you to contact DCA if you require a publication, document, or other file from our website in a different format.

Provide your feedback

We encourage feedback on your experience with our site. We take all feedback into consideration and will endeavour to respond to you in a timely manner.

If you have questions or feedback relating to this website, or would like to request an accessible version of one of DCA’s documents, please use our email form to contact us.

Not every page on our network will have the accessibility features we strive to offer. This is because it takes time to improve our entire network and help third parties comply with the W3C guidelines.
