DCA welcomes Bronwyn Dodd to its Board of Directors

Bronwyn Dodd - a woman with long brown hair wearing a black blouse smiling at the camera.Diversity Council Australia (DCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bronwyn Dodd to its Board of Directors.

Bronwyn brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across banking, housing, health, and community services. She is currently National General Manager of Indigenous Banking at Westpac, where she leads strategic initiatives that promote financial inclusion and drive sustainable economic outcomes for Indigenous communities across Australia.  

Her career includes senior executive roles such as Executive Director, Customers and Services at the South Australian Housing Authority, as well as leadership positions in finance and human resources within both public and private healthcare systems. She has also achieved strong commercial results in SME, Commercial, and Agribusiness markets in the banking sector.

In addition to her executive career, Bronwyn brings significant governance experience. She is a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Cancer Council SA and Indigenous Business Australia’s Investment Board, contributing her expertise in governance, strategy, and community engagement.

DCA Chair Sunita Gloster AM said: “We are delighted to welcome Bronwyn to the Board. Her leadership experience and commitment to social impact will be invaluable as DCA continues to drive inclusion and productivity. As a proud First Nations leader, she also brings a perspective that will enrich our work.”

The recruitment process was supported by Brad Welsh, a member of DCA’s People & Culture Board Committee. 

Reflecting on her appointment, Brad said: “Bronwyn is an exceptional leader whose track record shows both commercial strength and deep commitment to equity. She will be a great addition to the DCA Board and will help strengthen its work to ensure that First Nations voices continue to shape workplace inclusion nationally.”

Bronwyn said she was honoured to join the DCA Board.

“Throughout my career, I’ve seen the difference that inclusive practices make for people, organisations and communities. I’m honoured to join DCA’s Board and contribute to this critical work.”
