DCA welcomes diversity & inclusion advocate Sunita Gloster AM

After an extensive process, Diversity Council Australia (DCA) is delighted to announce Sunita Gloster AM has been appointed as a director to the Board, to succeed as Chair of DCA following this year’s AGM.

With an impressive career spanning more than 30 years in professional services across media, marketing, technology and sustainability, Sunita brings strong commercial acumen allied with a commitment to diversity which makes her well-positioned to build on the legacy that will be left by current Chair Ming Long AM when her term ends at this year’s AGM.

Sunita is a Non-Executive Director for UN Global Compact Network Australia, the principal sustainability initiative for businesses in Australia and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers. She is also an Advisor with Accenture and the Co-Chair of the Tech Council of Australia’s media and marketing committee. Sunita has served as an advisor to UN Women Australia and is a widely published commentator and frequent keynote speaker on the importance of advancing diversity and equality in Australia.

In 2023, Sunita was recognised as a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the media and marketing industry and gender equality.

DCA Chair Ming Long extended her congratulations to Sunita on behalf of the Board. “We welcome Sunita to our Board. Her broad experience, innovative thinking, and unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion make her the ideal candidate to Chair DCA into its next chapter,” Ming said.

Sunita was appointed to the DCA Board on Friday 3 May, and her appointment as Chair will be ratified following the next Annual General Meeting on 26 June 2024.
