Diversity Council Australia (DCA) is proud to launch a bold new brand identity, as we celebrate 40 years of championing diversity and inclusion (D&I) in Australian workplaces.
As the country’s leading independent peak body for diversity and inclusion, DCA is committed to creating a more equitable Australia. We provide our member base of over 1,300 organisations with evidence-led support through research, practical tools, education and training, events and advocacy.

Our new visual identity is clear, contemporary and designed for today’s digital landscape. It reinforces DCA as a trusted partner, equipping Australian organisations with tools and insights to champion the undeniable benefits of D&I.
As our look evolves, we remain focused on our core mission and charitable purpose: to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces for the benefit of individuals, organisations and the broader community – fostering social equity and economic prosperity.
Bringing our new brand to life
DCA engaged Australian brand strategy agency, The Contenders, to help shape a brand that would carry us forward into the future. Together, we clarified our positioning and brand platform that laid the foundation for our new visual identity.
To shape a brand that truly reflects who we are, we first listened. Through focus groups, interviews and surveys, we engaged with representatives from our member organisations, partners, peers, and our team – including people with lived experience of marginalisation. We set out to better understand how our stakeholders view DCA — who we are and what we do. This helped shape our new brand platform. These insights then guided the development of our new look, which we’re excited to share with you soon.
Accessibility and inclusivity were important considerations throughout DCA’s rebrand, informing decisions to better support the diverse needs of our audiences.

Our refreshed brand reflects DCA’s evolution and ongoing commitment to building a more equitable and inclusive Australia. Inclusion isn’t just good for people – it’s good for business, society, and our shared future.
Our new tagline, Together towards inclusion, emphasises the collaborative approach we take with our members and the community in the shared responsibility of creating more inclusive workplaces across Australia.
A contemporary, future-focused brandmark
Our new logo reflects the evolution of DCA and the increasingly complex conversation around diversity and inclusion. While our previous brandmark symbolised the fabric of Australian society and helped define our identity at the time, this new design captures our bold, future-focused approach and our commitment to challenging the status quo to drive lasting change.
The unique letterforms of our brandmark make a strong, memorable statement. They reflect our dedication to building inclusive workplaces.
The expanding shapes of the letter forms within the brandmark represent how inclusion continues to grow and evolve – and DCA’s leadership and commitment to pushing the agenda of diversity and inclusion.
Our guiding brand values
As part of developing our new brand, we defined a brand platform that reflects who we are and how are seen by the communities we serve. Shaped by many voices and grounded in lived experience, our personality traits – illuminating, astute, courageous and pragmatic – sit at the heart of this, and are reflected in the new visual identity and colour pallette. They are closely aligned with our core organisational values of inclusion, fortitude, growth mindset, excellence, and collaboration, which continue to guide how we work and engage.
An impactful colour palette inspired by Australia
Our fresh and bold new colour palette reflects the optimism and strength of DCA’s vision and commitment to the pursuit of a more inclusive and equitable Australia.
The colours capture Australia’s distinct, diverse and dynamic spirit, drawing inspiration from our natural environment, and aligning with our updated brand voice and platform.
The deep blue represents pragmatism and quiet confidence, evoking the calm assurance of our night sky and grounding our identity with a sense of trust and reliability. This is complemented by a soft, neutral off-white that adds warmth and balance. Our secondary colours are bold and expressive, symbolising the courage to lead change, optimism for the future, and the vibrancy of the communities we serve. Together, these colours support our brand and reflect our ongoing commitment to progress.
