Myth-busting is often used in D&I practice as a way to educate and deliver concise and key messaging, but is this the best way to maximise impact and address misinformation?

At this event, our expert speakers explored the risks of myth-busting, why it often doesn’t work. With a diversity lens, the conversation focused on actions that D&I change agents and practitioners can take to achieve more positive impacts without reinforcing divisive misinformation about D&I. 

Guest presenter, Gemma Pitcher (she/her),an Associate at Common Cause Australia, shared insights and strategies to help navigate the pitfalls of myth-busting. Following her presentation Gemma was be joined by guest contributors:
