Inclusive AI at Work: From Cautious to Converted

DCA, with Monash University and project sponsor Hudson RPO, is looking to create an evidence-based framework for Australian organisations to design and implement AI-recruitment tools in a more inclusive way.

At this DCA webinar, we discussed the experiences of Australian organisations using various AI tools in recruitment and selection and had frank conversations about what role AI-supported recruitment plays in D&I.

The conversation kicked off with a keynote presentation by DCA’s Research Director Dr Jane O’Leary, on recent survey findings, giving a snapshot of the state of play in regard to AI-supported recruitment practices in Australia. Thereafter, Cathy Brown, Communications and Advocacy Director at DCA, and our speaker panel shared insights about how these practices impact diversity and inclusion.

Our Panel included:

  1. Kimberley Hubble, CEO of Hudson RPO,
  2. Professor Didar Zowghi, Diversity & Inclusion in AI research Lead, CSIROs Data61,
  3. Antonluigi Gozzi, Co Founder and Chief Products Officer at LiveHire, and
  4. Andreas Leibbrandt, Professor in Economics, Monash Business School, Monash University.
