How Westpac is building accessibility into its business
December 3 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm AEDT
What does it take to build accessibility and inclusion into the fabric of an organisation?
Join DCA on Thursday 3 December to mark International Day of People with Disability and hear how Westpac are advancing disability inclusion through a range of initiatives designed to create a more accessible and equitable workplace for their staff, customers and the broader Australian community.
We will speak with Westpac Head of Access and Inclusion, Majella Knobel, who will share how they have embedded accessibility into what they do across the business to ensure their platforms, systems, applications, communications and premises are accessible and useable for everyone.
DCA’s Change at Work is an evidence-based model for designing and implementing D&I organisational change and it has a four step process:
-
Diagnose the business need
-
Design D&I change that works
-
Engage & enable staff to lead that D&I change, and
-
Embed & evaluate the change achieved to make it stick.
With this model in mind, our conversation will examine:
-
how Westpac has approached accessibility and disability inclusion
-
the challenges and opportunities encountered along the way
-
the impact and benefits employees and customers have experienced
-
and the lessons other organisations can apply to their own D&I change journey.
Audience: Whether you’re leading a D&I strategy, championing accessibility initiatives, or looking to strengthen organisational capability for inclusion, this session will provide practical, real-world insights from one of Australia’s leading organisations.
Please note, further event details will be posted at a later date and registrations open approximately four weeks before the event. Until then, we suggest you add the time and date in your calendar as a placeholder. (event, date and time may change, so please always check back)
