Key Contacts Webinar: the D&I climate and responding to resistance
March 31 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm AEDT
Free
According to Diversity Council Australia’s most recent Inclusion@Work Index, nearly three-quarters (74%) of Australian employees endorse their organisation’s diversity and inclusion (D&I) efforts. What’s more, research consistently shows that inclusive organisations are more innovative, resilient, and perform better. And yet conversations in the wider world around D&I are growing more polarised by the day.
DCA recognises the challenges many organisations are facing right now. We know this work is not always easy. We recognise the collective efforts of our members toward meaningful change, and want to support you in whatever way we can.
We invite DCA Member Key Contacts to attend this special event to share their challenges, questions and concerns when it comes to responding to D&I resistance and making positive change.
We want to hear from you about your experiences and insights, and encourage you to share them with us at the event. We will open up the webinar to live questions from the audience via a moderated ‘Chatham House rule’ discussion, so we ask you to submit key areas of interest or questions in advance to events@dca.org.au to allow for a meaningful discussion.
Join DCA’s Member Relations Director, Fiona Austin-Weber (she/her) who will lead a discussion on the challenges, what is driving the current climate, and outline the DCA resources that can support you, with our expert speakers:
– Dr Jane O’Leary (she/her), Research Director at DCA
– Sheetal Deo (she/her), Education Director and Senior Project Manager RISE at DCA
– Kath Sciacca (they/them), Member Relations Manager at DCA
– Sarah Clarke (she/her), Partner in the Employee Relations & Safety team at King & Wood Mallesons who has co-authored a King & Wood Mallesons insights article on DEI in the current climate and what’s next for Australian employers.
Who should attend?
Places are limited exclusively to DCA member Key Contacts.
