Text: Research Launch

Neurodiversity Celebration Week commences on Monday 16 March, and as part of the week’s celebrations, Amaze and Diversity Council Australia (DCA) invite you to join us for the launch of Neurodiversity Data at Work — a new practical guide to support more inclusive workplaces.

This landmark resource has been developed through a 12-month collaboration between DCA and Amaze. It provides organisations with practical guidance on how to measure and report on voluntary neurodiversity representation data in ways that are respectful, safe, and accurate.

The Neurodiversity Data at Work guide will be co-presented at Telstra in Melbourne and online by Farhana Laffernis (she/her), Research Manager at DCA, and Angela Neyland (she/her), Research Lead at Amaze.

Following their presentation, a panel discussion facilitated by Dr Rose D’Almada-Remedios (she/her), Head of Research, will bring together leading voices for an in-depth conversation on why neurodiversity data matters and how it can inform actions to build more neuroinclusive workplaces.

The event will explore:

  • why organisations should collect workforce neurodiversity data

  • guiding principles for respectful, inclusive and safe data collection that prioritise voluntary participation, privacy and informed choice
  • practical questions organisations can use to collect workforce neurodiversity data.

The panel includes:

  • Alexandra Lazarus-Priestley (she/her), Chief Change Officer at Amaze

  • Rob Frost (he/him), Chief Strategy Officer at OMD Australia

  • Farhana Laffernis (she/her), Research Manager at DCA

Who should attend: Chief Diversity Officers, Chief People Officers and HR Directors, D&I and HR practitioners, workforce data analysts, Employee Resource Group members, D&I Champions, people leaders and any colleagues/team members in your organisation wanting to build their D&I knowledge.
