DCA’s Knowledge Programs are facilitated sessions aimed at increasing employee knowledge, skills and awareness of a range of diversity and inclusion topics. The programs are grounded in the latest DCA and industry research and delivered by experienced facilitators.

Education is one of the most effective ways to foster inclusion and increase employee support for D&I initiatives, and DCA’s Knowledge Programs are an excellent way to upskill yourself and your staff and complement or kickstart internal D&I initiatives.

Our exclusive Open Knowledge Programs are a great way for you to see how our education programs could fit into your organisation’s learning calendar.

Registrations are limited to 2 people per organisation.

Our program structure includes discussion, self-reflection and small group activities. Participants will have access to post-program resources.

If you aren’t a DCA member, please email workshops@dca.org.au to secure your ticket.

Leaders Preventing and Responding to Sexual Harassment
Building Respectful Workplaces

Marking the beginning of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence next week, DCA is offering our new Leaders Preventing and Responding to Sexual Harassment Knowledge Program as an open program during Inclusion at Work Week.

This program will outline what sexual harassment in the workplace is, present the key legal and organisational responsibilities that workplaces and leaders must prevent and address sexual harassment, outline how you as a leader can prevent and respond to workplace incidents and explore how fostering inclusive workplace behaviours can help create environments where sexual harassment is less likely to occur.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise and understand sexual harassment in the workplace, including obvious, subtle, and systemic behaviours, and understand its impact on individuals, teams, and organisational culture.

  • Understand key legal and organisational responsibilities, including the Positive Duty, psychosocial safety obligations, and relevant legislation such as the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth).

  • Identify and implement proactive strategies to prevent sexual harassment, creating safer, more respectful, and inclusive workplace environments.

  • Respond confidently and appropriately to disclosures, concerns, and complaints of sexual harassment, ensuring issues are addressed effectively and do not escalate.

  • Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability, using leadership behaviours and workplace practices that help prevent sexual harassment and support positive team culture.
