Reframing approaches to gender equality using the evidence
August 13 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm AEST
FreeAt this next Gender Equality Insights, we will reveal why organisations need to rethink their approach to gender equality and leadership—based on evidence, not assumptions.
We’ll unpack what works and what to avoid, including:
-
Representation ≠ equity – it’s more than numbers.
-
Stop “fixing women” – fix systems instead.
-
Be realistic – don’t overestimate progress.
-
Women aren’t one group – focus on those most marginalised.
Our guest speaker, Professor Michelle Ryan (she/her), is a world-renowned gender equality expert, Professor of Social and Organisational Psychology, and the inaugural Director of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership. Her work centres on understanding the psychological processes underlying workplace gender inequality, and designing and implementing innovative and evidence-based interventions to increase gender equality.
Join Professor Michelle Ryan and our D&I practitioner panel, including:
-
Micaela Drieberg (she/her), CEO, Gender Equity Victoria
-
Dr Janin Bredehoeft (she/her), CEO, Science in Australia Gender Equity
-
Divya Pasupuleti (she/her), Director, Australian Gender Equality Council
