Plan International Australia’s Gender Compass is a first-of-its-kind research project that segments the broader Australian public into six groups based on their beliefs, views and behaviours around gender equality.

In the lead up to International Women’s Day (IWD), DCA invites you to join DCA CEO, Catherine Hunter (she/her) at this hybrid event.

Hayley Cull (she/her), Deputy CEO, Engagement at Plan International Australia, will share insights on why engaging the “moveable middle” is key to driving gender equality.

Lainie Cassidy (she/her), KPMG, will discuss how her organisation is applying a similar approach, including results, challenges, and successes.

James Fazzino (he/him), Convenor for Champions of Change Coalition, will share work they are doing to build gender equality and inclusion into the future through intentional decisions, design and communications harnessing the Gender Compass messaging guide and the Coalition’s 7 Switches guide for inclusive gender equality by design.

Who are the “moveable middle”?

They are people open to new perspectives who, with the right approach, can be encouraged to support action for gender equality. With guidance, they can become strong advocates for equality of all genders.
