DCA's annual list of Inclusive Employers
Each year, Diversity Council Australia recognises organisations who have demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusion by exceeding key benchmarks in our annual Inclusive Employer Index. The Index is an insightful survey that measures employee diversity and inclusion experiences in the workplace, serving as a diagnostic tool that provides organisations with valuable D&I metrics.

What is the Inclusive Employer Index?
The Inclusive Employer Index is an insightful survey that takes place each year to measure employee diversity and inclusion experiences in the workplace. Participating organisations administer the survey with their workforce which provides valuable D&I metrics and diversity demographics. This enables organisations to evaluate the current state of inclusion in their workforce, and compare it to the Australian Workforce benchmark and the DCA member benchmark.
Who is recognised as a DCA Inclusive Employer?
Following the Index survey, DCA assesses participating organisations and announces the list of Inclusive Employers who exceeded the National Index Benchmark in at least five out of the six following areas: awareness, engagement, inclusive organisational climate, inclusive leadership, inclusive team, and exclusion.
These organisations have shown that they are actively committed to inclusion, and DCA celebrates this achievement through a range of different media promotions.
While the Inclusive Employer Index is carried out annually, as is the recognition of Inclusive Employers, the designation as an Inclusive Employer extends over a two-year period.
Demonstrate your commitment
Inclusive Employers are able to demonstrate their commitment to D&I by displaying the “Proud to be an Inclusive Employer” logo in their own communications.
“Our Watch is pleased to be recognised by the Diversity Council Australia as an Inclusive Employer. We are committed to creating a work environment where all employees are respected and valued. Through our commitment to challenging gender inequality and intersecting forms of discrimination, we will continue to celebrate the diversity of our team and foster an inclusive working environment where all employees can thrive.”

“We know that an inclusive workplace enables us to be a better organisation. Supporting more people, finding new ways to help and strengthening trust with the communities we work alongside. Being recognised as a DCA Inclusive employer is a great achievement for Orange Sky, but we know that real inclusion is a lifelong journey and not a destination. We’re always looking for ways to grow, improve and ensure that all Orange Sky staff are better for being orange.”
