Anna McPhee Memorial Oration 2025

August 22 @ 11:30 am - 2:30 pm AEST

Anna McPhee Memorial Oration

Social class is still one of the least understood and addressed aspects of diversity and inclusion in Australia today. Yet, DCA research shows it is social class, more than any other demographic factor, that is most strongly linked to workers’ experiences of inclusion at work.

At the 2025 Anna McPhee Memorial Oration on class inclusion, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, will speak on the subject of social class inclusion in Australia today and why it matters.

Later this year, DCA will release new research to build on our foundational research on this critical topic, helping employers understand how to address class-based exclusion to create more equitable workplaces.

Join us for this exclusive major event in Melbourne at Zinc, Federation Square. It’s a unique opportunity to entertain clients, staff and stakeholders to showcase your organisation as a leader on diversity and inclusion.

The event includes an opportunity for networking with guests and speakers over canapes, a two-course lunch during the Oration, followed by a panel discussion.
