DCA submission in response to the Inquiry into Right Wing Extremist movements in Australia
DCA provided a submission to the Inquiry into Right Wing Extremist movements in Australia. We highlighted the workplace as an environment that can provide many opportunities for information, education and positive engagement – all factors that can build community resilience and prevent radicalisation. Workplace diversity and inclusion strategies can be instrumental in facilitating social cohesion and preventing the development of extremist positions. DCA highlighted the current challenges for workplaces in relation to polarising attitudes and conversations at work and referred to some tips for dealing with this.
