DCA provided a submission to the government’s Draft National Autism Strategy, commending its commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Autistic people across the country. In our submission we strongly supported the overall approach of the Strategy which is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming and centres the lived experience of Autistic people. DCA made specific comments about the commitments outlined that related to both social and economic inclusion, referring to our resources and member experience in relation to reducing the stigma of autism in the workplace.
