What is a D&I Council?
A D&I Council serves as an advisory board to an organisation and is made up of employees and/or external experts who lead, advocate for, coordinate, inform, and/or monitor the organisation’s diversity and inclusion (‘D&I’) strategy.
D&I councils can be internal (e.g. headed by a CEO and made up of senior executives and staff at all levels of the organisation) or external (e.g. made up of community partners, businesses, government, academia or D&I practitioners), so that they can offer a broader perspective, best practices and accountability for diversity.
Members can log in for more information about why D&I councils are important, and how to set up your own D&I Council.
