Australian employers are increasingly implementing accessible workplace practices not only to comply with the law but also to tap into the valuable skills and perspectives that people with disabilities bring. Despite this, Australia still faces significant challenges bridging the employment gap between people with disability and those without. In fact, the disparity between the employment rates of working-aged Australians with disability and those without stands at a staggering 32 percent, placing Australia behind several other countries like Sweden, Finland, France, and Italy.
