At our first Indigenous network for the year, we were joined by Indigenous Employment Partners, an Aboriginal-operated social enterprise, whose mission is to provide culturally appropriate employment, recruitment and training services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the organisations who employ them. Their aim is to end the cycle of poverty and hardship in Indigenous Australia by building capacity and fostering self-sufficiency through employment.
We also heard from Wilson Security on their journey working with Indigenous Employment Partners and the benefits of providing a culturally safe workplace for their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.
DCA CEO, Lisa Annese, moderated a discussion with guest panelists including:
- Sara Stuart, Group CEO, Indigenous Employment Partners,
- Grace Stewart, Executive Assistant, Indigenous Employment Partners and
- Chris Davies, National Indigenous Engagement Manager, Wilson Security.
