Write/Update your D&I Policy

What is a D&I Policy?

A diversity and inclusion (D&I) policy broadly sets out your organisation’s:

  • commitment to diversity and inclusion, and
  • guiding principles to meet your commitment.

What is the difference between a D&I policy and a D&I strategy?

D&I policy and D&I strategy are interrelated, but separate pieces.

  • Your policy sets out your guiding D&I principles.
  • Your D&I strategies detail the specific plans that help meet the goals of your D&I principles.

For a guide to designing and implementing D&I strategies, plans and initiatives, see Getting Strategic with D&I.
