To celebrate Inclusion at Work Week, for the first time DCA is partnering with Our Watch to bring our members an education opportunity about gendered violence in the workplace.
Our Watch is Australia’s leader in the primary prevention of violence against women. They work to embed gender equality and prevent violence where Australians live, learn, work and socialise.
This 90-minute session will look at the prevention of gendered violence in the workplace (with a focus on the prevention of sexual harassment). The session will cover an introduction to;
o What is violence against women and why does it occur?
o Why workplaces need to take action to prevent sexual harassment
o How workplaces can prevent sexual harassment
This training is targeted at a team member level for all staff. We will also introduce Our Watch’s new Workplace Equality and Respect Model which you can use in your workplace to start fostering safer, more equal and supportive workplaces for all employees.
