Diversity Council Australia appointed three new directors to its board during its Annual General Meeting on Friday 23 June 2023.
Ming Long, AM, DCA Board Chair, announced the election of Dr Annie Pettitt, Associate Director of Women’s Economic Outcomes, NSW Treasury, Dr Manisha Amin, CEO, Centre for Inclusive Design and Craig Mutton, Chief Digital Officer, University of Canberra.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr Pettitt, Dr Amin and Mr Mutton as board directors today,” Long said.
“Their significant contribution across such a varied cross-section of industries and expertise will be invaluable to our board as we continue our vital work supporting Australian employers and organisations to create a more diverse and inclusive Australia.”
The three new directors fill positions vacated by Stephen Barrow-Yu, Amanda Revis and Shawn Wilkey.
Lisa Annese, DCA CEO, thanked the outgoing board directors for their substantial contribution to the governance and strategic direction of DCA and welcomed Dr Pettitt, Dr Amin and Mr Mutton to the Board.
“I look forward to working with them as DCA continues to grow its membership and influence in supporting the business community,” Annese said.
Reflecting on DCA’s achievements over the past year, Annese said membership has seen significant growth, increasing by 18%.
“Community expectations are changing, placing pressure on organisations to continue their focus on diversity and inclusion,” Annese continued.
“Organisations are increasingly realising that D&I is a superpower that will make them more innovative, productive and successful.”
