Technology leaders Microsoft experienced an accessibility revolution when two new leaders (Chief Accessibility Officer Jenny Lay-Flurrie and CEO Satya Narayana Nadella) took the reins and declared accessibility as a top priority.
They approached inclusion as innovation. And the cultural motto became, “You can’t make a breakthrough without breaking something. Systems that don’t support us all … no longer serve us.”
The result? A Sustainable Culture of Accessibility, ushered in across the entire business.
Microsoft began: hiring people with hearing, vision, mobility, and learning disabilities. And serving those very same customers through accessible Microsoft products and content.
And here is the best part: the Sustainable Culture of Accessibility built a D&I playbook for the many, many organisations – both in and out of tech – who use the Microsoft product suite as part of their everyday business functions.
If that’s you, dive in to learn more about building a culture of accessibility at (and with) Microsoft.
