The Diversity Council Australia-Suncorp Inclusion@Work Index is the first nationally representative survey measuring the impact and extent of inclusion in workplaces.
In it, we have a piece of work that uniformly demonstrates, through evidence, that diversity and inclusion is good for business. Until now, there’s been little statistical research proving the value of inclusion to Australian workplaces.
The DCA’-Suncorp Inclusion@Work Index findings, based on the responses of 3,000 workers, show that employees in inclusive teams are:
- 10 times more likely to be highly effective (58% compared to 6% in non-inclusive teams)
- 9 times more likely to innovate (45% to 5%)
- 4 times more likely to stay with their employer over the coming year (62% to 16%).
- 19 times more likely to be very satisfied with their job (58% to 3%)
