Mental Health
Beyond Blue defines a mentally healthy workplace as “one that protects and promotes mental health and empowers people to seek help for depression and anxiety, for the benefit of the individual, organisation and community”.
Creating mentally healthy workplaces requires support and commitment from all levels in an organisation – from individual employees, managers/supervisors, HR and D&I practitioners, senior leaders, and the organisation as a whole. This section explores some leading practices in mentally healthy workplaces, including:
- Building mentally safe workplaces
- Leadership and management support
- Policy considerations
- Return to work considerations
