Brisbane Research Update: Disability Data at Work
April 3 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm AEST
Free
Collecting disability data enables organisations to understand the mix of people in their workplace and the inclusion and exclusion experiences of employees with disability. This helps organisations make informed decisions about accessibility, monitor progress, and drive positive change that supports inclusion.
Join DCA in Brisbane for an in-person event where our Research Director, Dr Jane O’Leary (she/her), will unpack findings from DCA’s joint report with Australian Disability Network: Disability Data at Work.
This event will explore key insights from the report, which sheds light on the workplace experiences of people with disability and outlines essential strategies for fostering workplace environments where employees feel safe to disclose their disability without fear of repercussions.
Following the presentation, Sheetal Deo (she/her), DCA’s Education Director, will lead a discussion with our guest panel to explore the critical role capturing disability data has in cultivating inclusive workplaces where all employees can thrive.
Our guest panel includes:
– Kevin Cocks AM GAICD (he/him), Executive General Manager, Accessible Transport Network, Department of Transport and Main Roads
– Nicole Taylor (she/her), Engagement Lead, Peer Support at Queenslanders with Disability Network
– Dr Jane O’Leary (she/her), Research Director, DCA.
The event is fully accessible, including accessible parking, bathrooms and entry doors.
Live captions can be accessed on your smart device during the event.
If you need an Auslan interpreter, let us know 10 working days before the event.
