National Strategy to Achieve Gender Equality

The National Strategy to achieve Gender Equality is being developed by the Government’s Office for Women in consultation with people around Australia. The strategy will guide whole-of-community action to make Australia one of the best countries in the world for a gender-equal society.

At the event, the Minister outlined:

  • How the strategy will engage with business and industry;
  • Key reforms for workplaces (building on those already introduced via the Respect At Work, and Fair Work amendments in 2022);
  • How the Government is prioritising gender equality in other areas;
  • How the Government is ensuring the National Strategy takes an intersectional approach.

Following her presentation, the Minister joined DCA CEO Lisa Annese, to take audience questions.
