In good faith

The Art of Inclusion: In good faith- Religion in modern Australia

Current debates about religion in Australia balance the right to faith with protection of other groups, such as the LGBTIQ+ community, from discrimination.

In light of this we ask: what’s it like to be a believer amid such fervent discussions of faith? In a society where nearly 30 percent of Australians have no religious affiliation? And where those who do are often fair game for critique and debate?

Storytellers Mariam Veiszadeh and Daniel Wakim talk about their respective faiths, Islam and Christianity.

Human Rights Commissioner Edward Santow talks about the state of religious freedom in Australia.
