Get Ready for Inclusion at Work Week 2024!

Inclusion at Work Week logoAt Diversity Council Australia (DCA), we know that diversity and inclusion (D&I) aren’t just workplace buzzwords – they are key drivers of innovation, wellbeing, and organisational success. That’s why we launched Inclusion at Work Week – an annual week-long celebration of diversity and inclusion in workplaces across Australia.

Now in its third year, Inclusion at Work Week 2024, running from Monday 18 November to Friday 22 November, promises to be our biggest yet, packed with special events, exclusive resources, and opportunities to learn, share, and connect.

Whether you’re an individual, team, or entire organisation, this is your chance to explore new ways to create inclusive workplaces and celebrate the achievements of others doing the same.

Here’s what participants can expect this year, and how to get involved during #InclusionAtWorkWeek 2024:

How to Get Involved

Whether you’re a DCA member or new to our work, there are plenty of ways to participate in Inclusion at Work Week (IAWW):

1. Register for IAWW

Starting 8 October 2024, you can sign up to receive your Inclusion at Work Week guide packed with resources and tools to help you plan your activities for the week.

2. Celebrate on social media

Share your workplace’s commitment to inclusion with the world! Participants can use the assets and prompts in the Inclusion at Work Week guide to post a short video on their social media channels. Check out these examples from DCA’s staff, and don’t forget to tag us and include the hashtags #InclusionAtWorkWeek and #DiversityCouncilAustralia.

3. Internal communications

Share why diversity and inclusion matter to your workplace and highlight what your organisation is doing to enhance its D&I efforts. This is a great time to encourage team discussions and reflection on the importance of inclusion.

4. Host or attend an event

Inclusion at Work Week is a great opportunity to get your team together and talk about all things D&I. You could host an event inviting in external speakers who champion D&I causes, or do something simple like hosting a team lunch or brainstorming session. Check out DCA’s events page for inspiration.

Inclusion at Work Week is an important time to reflect on your organisation’s D&I efforts and consider new strategies for improvement. By participating, you’re taking a meaningful step toward creating more equitable workplaces where all employees feel respected, connected and able to contribute to the success of your business.

Be sure to mark your calendar and join us for an inspiring week of learning, celebrating, and collaborating!
